RAYMOND SANCHEZ, AGE 32, OF LAWRENCE is charged with:
- Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Law

- Driving to Endanger

JOSMIL ROSARIO, AGE 25, OF CAMBRIDGE is charged with:
- Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Law
- Reckless Endangerment to a Child
- Obstruction of Justice (two counts)
On Thursday, June 16, at approximately 5 p.m., the Woburn Police Department Vice/Narcotics Unit and the Southern Middlesex Regional Drug Task Force were conducting surveillance in the southern area of Main Street as part of an ongoing investigation. This area has been the location of several drug-related calls and community complaints.
While surveying the area, detectives observed a man enter a black 2009 Chevrolet Malibu that was parked waiting on the street. Detectives conducted mobile surveillance of the vehicle as it began traveling toward Main Street. The vehicle then took a series of quick left turns and ended back on Stoddard Street after a short amount of time, and the man exited the vehicle.
As detectives approached the vehicle, the suspects began to drive away. Police attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop, which resulted in a pursuit that concluded at a dead end on Eastern Avenue. SANCHEZ and ROSARIO were placed under arrest. A 4-year-old child who was inside the vehicle was placed into the custody of the Department of Children and Families.
“These arrests are an example of strong detective work by the Woburn Police Narcotics Unit and the Southern Middlesex Regional Drug Task Force,” Chief Ferullo said. “I am proud of the police work and strong municipal partnerships on display in this case, and we have now taken potentially dangerous drug suppliers off of our streets. Our officers acted professionally to avoid any harm coming to the innocent child caught in the middle of these nefarious and illegal activities.”
ROSARIO was released on $250 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned at Woburn District Court on Monday, June 20. SANCHEZ was held at the Woburn Police Department on $20,000 cash bail pending his arraignment at Woburn District Court today.
