At the height of the tourist season, the Town of Old Orchard Beach, Maine realized it had a problem: People weren’t wearing masks. JGPR worked with the Fire Chief and other officials in town to create a targeted message to encourage visitors, especially young people, to wear a mask.
This short, scripted video utilized three young adults (a reserve police officer, a lifeguard and a parks and recreation department employee) to drive the message home to their peers. Paired with an existing hashtag campaign within the community (#MaskUpOOB), the PSA generated media coverage from multiple outlets and raised the profile of the #MaskUpOOB campaign.
JGPR delivered a script within hours of the initial conference call, was quick to make requested revisions and shot the video the following day. The finalized video was published three business days after shooting.
