LUDLOW — Chief Daniel Valadas is pleased to announce that the Ludlow Police Department will be participating in their first Toys for Tots program over the next month.
The Ludlow Police Department will be holding the toy drive starting Tuesday, Nov. 15 through Saturday, Dec. 10. Toys can be dropped off to the donation box located at the main entrance of the Ludlow police station, 612 Chapin St., during normal business hours.
Any new, unwrapped toys and gifts will be accepted for the drive to benefit Toys for Tots, which will help provide children in need with gifts of their own this holiday season.
Additionally, residents and community members can drop off toys on Dec. 10 at Playnow, 433 Center St., Suite 15, in the Big Y Plaza, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“This is a wonderful program to help children and families this holiday season, and I encourage everyone to come support our Toys for Tots drive,” said Chief Valadas.
Toys for Tots was founded by the U.S. Marine Corps in 1947 to donate toys to kids who are less fortunate during the holiday season. For more information on the Toys for Tots program, visit the foundation’s website.
