Littleton Police Department Hosts Breakfast for Veterans
LITTLETON – Chief Matthew King is pleased to announce that the Littleton Police Department hosted another successful monthly veterans breakfast yesterday morning.
On Wednesday, June 22, approximately 25 local veterans joined Littleton Police at the Council on Aging, 33 Shattuck St., for breakfast from 8-9 a.m., which included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, English muffins and assorted fruit. This month’s breakfast was also co-hosted by the Littleton Fire Department.
Littleton Police offer this free breakfast to local veterans every month, but will take a break during July and August before starting up again in September. The police department will continue to co-host all future breakfasts with the fire department, and also plan to partner with Littleton’s Director of Veterans’ Services John Borowski to bring in guest speakers.
“We are honored to host these monthly events and serve breakfast to our local veterans,” Chief King said. “It is our way of saying thank you for all they have done to serve and protect our country, and we hope they enjoy it as much as our officers do.”
