Methuen Police Searching for Three Suspects Involved in Multiple Weekend Home Invasions
METHUEN – Chief Joseph Solomon reports that the Methuen Police Department is actively looking for three suspects who were involved in two home break-ins over the weekend.
On Sunday, Feb. 21, police received a report that around 8:20 p.m., three Hispanic men wearing black masks broke into a home on Howe Street. There, they located a female resident and demanded money and jewelry. The woman stated that at least two of the men were armed with handguns and spoke English and Spanish.
The three suspects proceeded to destroy property and eventually fled with assorted jewelry and personal items from the residence.
A short time later, at approximately 9 p.m., officers responded to a home on Camden Street, where a woman told police that three armed men, wearing black masks, had broken into her residence and stolen money before running out the front door and leaving in a vehicle. She described them as around 5 feet 10 inches tall, with medium builds.
Police are investigating whether a gold minivan seen outside the residence could be involved.
“We believe these two incidents are related due to the similar descriptions and actions of the suspects. We are asking for the public’s help identifying these men,” Chief Solomon said. “If anyone has any information, or saw anything suspicious over the weekend, we ask that they immediately contact police.”
Anyone with information should call the Methuen Police Department at 978-983-8698.
