Prima Vista Recovery and Wellness Center Partners with P.A.A.R.I. to Offer Recovery Services to Participants
NEWTON and PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Gloucester Police Chief Leonard Campanello and John Rosenthal, co-founders of The Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative (P.A.A.R.I.), are pleased to announce that Prima Vista Recovery and Wellness Center has joined the team of recovery centers assisting addicts.
“We are grateful for treatment centers like Prima Vista Recovery Center who continue to reach out to PAARI in an effort to join us in this battle against addiction,” Chief Campanello said. “This time of year is particularly difficult for those suffering from addiction, and the more options we have available to our participants to get the help they need, the more lives we can save from this disease.”
Over the summer, Chief Campanello and businessman John Rosenthal launched P.A.A.R.I. — a nonprofit organization created in response to Gloucester Police Department’s ANGEL Initiative. Rather than arrest their way out of the problem of drug addiction, partnering police departments place those who come to them for help into treatment programs. As partnerships with treatment centers continue to grow, so does P.A.A.R.I.’s ability to support police departments who want to assist their communities in saving lives.
“We are honored to partner with PAARI on this groundbreaking initiative to help those struggling with substance abuse, and are committed to helping participants get well and live happy and healthy lives,” said JoAnn Faiella, CEO of Prima Vista Recovery Center. “At Prima Vista Recovery Center, we understand that no two addictions are the same and no two clients are the same, so we pride ourselves on our ability to develop individualized plans for our participants and look forward to a successful partnership with PAARI.”
Prima Vista Recovery and Wellness Center prides itself on its ability to offer individualized treatment programs and maintain a low patient to counselor ratio. Addiction recovery services include detoxification and rehabilitation as participants work with expert counselors, doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, and case managers. Prima Vista incorporates elements of the traditional 12-step program along with evidence-based care for the biological and psychological aspects of addiction.
“Every partnership formed through PAARI is another step toward our success in the battle against the disease of addiction,” Rosenthal said. “We welcome Prima Vista Recovery Center as another valuable resource for PAARI and its participants.”
About Prima Vista Recovery and Wellness Center:
The team at Prima Vista Recovery and Wellness Center strives to treat patients as a whole, examining the physical, psychological, and personal needs of residents to aid them in overcoming their addiction. Prima Vista provides inpatient services with trained staff, home-based services, rehabilitation programs, and hospital center care. In addition to regular medical check-ups, guests are encouraged to build a more sustainable lifestyle to help achieve lasting sobriety and a stronger future.
In addition to health and addiction services, the Prima Vista Recovery Center provides spiritual, counseling, life skills training, and family services. Addiction recovery extends beyond detox and rehabilitation, and requires support and education for families. Prima Vista provides counseling to its patients’ families to help them better understand the disorders ailing their loved ones, and to prepare them for the journey ahead.
About P.A.A.R.I.:
P.A.A.R.I. was started to support local police departments as they work with opioid addicts. Rather than arrest our way out of the problem of drug addiction, P.A.A.R.I. committed police departments:
- Encourage opioid drug users to seek recovery
- Help distribute life saving opioid blocking drugs to prevent and treat overdoses
- Connect people suffering with opioid addiction with treatment programs and facilities
- Provide resources to other police departments and communities that want to do more to fight the opioid addiction epidemic
P.A.A.R.I. was created by Gloucester Police Chief Leonard Campanello and John Rosenthal to bridge the gap between the police department and opioid addicts seeking recovery. Since its founding, more than 34 police departments in nine states have joined as partners with the initiative.
