STOW — Interim Fire Chief Barry Evers and Police Chief Michael Sallese report that the Stow Fire and Police Departments helped to pull a man from Lake Boon this morning.
On Saturday, Aug. 24, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Stow Police and Fire received a call reporting that a man had fallen into Lake Boon. First responders were updated while en route to the scene that the man was no longer able to be seen above the water.
Upon arrival, responders located the man in the water, who was being assisted by a bystander. Police and fire personnel helped the bystander to pull the 70-year-old Stow man from the water and began administering CPR.
The man was transported by Patriot Ambulance to a local hospital. His current condition is unknown.
A response from the Massachusetts Fire District 14 Dive Team was requested to assist, but was released once the man was pulled from the water.
