AVON — Fire Chief David Charest and Police Chief Jeffrey Bukunt report that the Avon Fire and Police Departments responded to a two-vehicle crash on Harrison Boulevard on Monday afternoon.
On Monday, July 15, at approximately 3:30 p.m., emergency crews received a report of a crash in the area of Harrison Boulevard and Pond Street.
Officers arrived to find a collision between a commercial vehicle and a minivan. The passenger vehicle sustained heavy damage on the front and sides of the car.
The three occupants of the car, all males, sustained injuries. The driver of the vehicle was transported via medical helicopter to a Rhode Island hospital from a landing point at Avon Middle-High School, where Avon was assisted by the Brockton Fire Department,
The other passengers were transported via medical ambulance to area hospitals by mutual aid responders.
The driver and sole occupant of the commercial vehicle was not injured.
The Randolph Fire Department EMS, Holbrook Fire Department, Stoughton Fire Department and Brockton Fire Department assisted in responding to the scene, as did the Canton Fire Department blood unit.
The crash remains under investigation by Avon Police.
