DIGHTON — Chief George Nichols, on behalf of the Dighton Police Department, is pleased to announce the promotion of Officer Greg Steele to the rank of Detective.
Steele was promoted by Chief Nichols this week. His promotion will be effective on Monday, July 15.
“I would like to congratulate Greg Steele on his promotion to detective,” said Chief Nichols. “Throughout his career with the Dighton Police Department, Greg has proven himself to be a leader. Although humble, Greg serves as a role model for our younger officers.”
Steele began his career in Dighton as a Patrolman in 2011, where he has served the Dighton community for the last 12 years.
In addition to his responsibilities as a Patrolman, Steele currently serves as the department’s Firearms Instructor.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Bridgewater State University.
