TYNGSBOROUGH — Police Chief Richard Howe shares that the Tyngsborough Police Department is hiring full-time and part-time communications specialists.
Tyngsborough Police are seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of a communications specialist, who will be responsible for assisting in public safety dispatch operations.
Responsibilities of a communications specialist include being a liaison between the community and public safety agencies, data entry, and all dispatch of medical calls utilizing Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) protocols.
The starting salary for full-time communications specialists is $53,543 to $69,600 depending on education and experience. Part-time communication specialists are offered a competitive hourly salary.
Qualifications include:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in both oral and written communication.
- Ability to multitask effectively within a high-stress environment.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background investigation.
- Certifications in E911, CPR, EMD, LEAPS, and prior experience with IMC are preferred but not mandatory.
