WAYLAND — Fire Chief Neil McPherson and Acting Police Chief Ed Burman report that the Wayland Fire and Police Departments responded to an incident in which a worker fell approximately 20 feet at a construction site.
On Tuesday, Nov. 15, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Wayland Police and Fire received a report that a worker fell while working at a construction site at 82 Plain Road.
Upon arrival, first responders found a 27-year-old male worker who fell approximately 20 feet suffering from serious injuries.
The worker was treated at the scene by Wayland firefighters and police, and then was flown by MedFlight helicopter to a Boston-area trauma center.
The accident is being investigated by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration with the assistance of the Wayland Police Department.
