PEPPERELL – Chief David Scott is pleased to announce that the Pepperell Police Department will wear pink patches in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, as part of the Pink Patch Project.
Pepperell officers will wear pink Pepperell Police patches on their uniforms during October to help raise awareness of the importance of early detection in the fight against breast cancer.
The Pepperell Police Department will join participating public safety agencies from across the country in the Pink Patch Project for the first time this year.
The Pink Patch Project started in 2015 as an innovative public awareness campaign to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support breast cancer research organizations in combating the devastating disease.
Community members may purchase the special pink patches, which will be available at the police department and multiple public events throughout October. Patches cost $10 and all proceeds will be donated to cancer research.
