CONCORD — Chief Joseph O’Connor is pleased to announce that the Concord Police Department is welcoming a new officer to the department.
Corey Lopez, joined the department on Sept. 12. He grew up in Methuen, graduated from Central Catholic High School, and now lives in Andover.
In 2018, Officer Lopez graduated from Franklin Pierce University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in accounting. After graduating, Lopez attended the Northern Essex Community College/Methuen Police Academy.
Lopez has worked at the UMass Lowell Police Department since 2019. In 2021, he received his masters degree in Criminal Justice from UMass Lowell.
“I would like to welcome Officer Lopez to the Concord Police Department,” said Chief O’Connor. “Lopez will be a great addition to our dedicated department. We wish him the best of luck in his career.”
