TYNGSBOROUGH — Police Chief Richard D. Howe and Fire Chief Wes Russell are pleased to announce the Tyngsborough Police and Fire Departments will host a Public Safety Day with activities for young and old this week.

Saturday, Oct. 16, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
WHERE:
Tyngsborough Elementary School, 205 Westford Road
WHAT:
Police and Firefighters will team up this year to offer a Safety Day, featuring games, face painting, police and firefighter demonstrations, an obstacle course, and food and shaved ice trucks.
Children and adults will have an opportunity to check out Tyngsborough Police Department and Fire Department vehicles, as well as vehicles from the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office, Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council, Boston MedFlight, Lowell General Hospital Paramedics, and the National Guard.
“Chief Russell and I would like to invite the entire community to join us on Oct. 16 to meet the firefighters and police officers who watch over our community, check out the equipment they use to protect residents, and have some fun in the process,” Chief Howe said. “We hope to see a lot of smiling faces as we come together to focus on keeping our town safe.”
