Two Cruisers Destroyed in Fire
DRACUT — Chief Peter Bartlett reports that the Dracut Police Department is investigating a suspicious fire that destroyed two cruisers behind the police station late Wednesday night.
At approximately 9 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 15, Dracut Police officers were responding to multiple emergency calls simultaneously, when a shift supervisor received a call about a fire in the back parking lot of the police station.
Officers located one marked cruiser that was fully engulfed in flames. The fire was quickly extinguished by the Dracut Fire Department. The cruiser was totaled and a marked cruiser parked next to it had sustained such significant heat damage that it was also totaled.
