Suspect is Believed To Have Fled to Southern New Hampshire
DRACUT — Acting Chief Stephen D. Chaput reports that the Dracut Police Department is actively searching for a man who allegedly broke into the Village Inn restaurant on Monday night.
CHAD AUDETTE, AGE 40, who is believed to be homeless residing in Lowell, has a warrant out for his arrest on charges of:
- Breaking and Entering into a Building in the Nighttime with Intent to Commit a Felony
- Larceny from a Building
AUDETTE is the suspect in the Village Inn break-in that occurred Monday, July 20 at roughly 8 p.m. AUDETTE is also wanted for questioning in connection with several other nighttime break-ins that have occurred within the town over the past several weeks.
Surveillance footage obtained from some of the nighttime break-ins show the suspect, identified by investigators as AUDETTE, fleeing from the scene on what appears to be a moped. AUDETTE is known to operate a silver and tan moped.
He was last seen in the area of West Street in Lowell.
AUDETTE is believed to have fled to Southern New Hampshire.
