ROWLEY — Police Chief Scott A. Dumas and Fire Chief James C. Broderick report that the Rowley Police and Fire Departments are responding to a Tier 1 Hazmat incident involving an unknown gas leak at a Market Basket.
Police and fire were called to the Market Basket on the Newburyport Turnpike at approximately 3 p.m. for a report of an unknown gas leak. The entire strip mall where the store is located has been evacuated and closed indefinitely.
