Easton Police Seek to Identify Man Who Approached Young Boy
EASTON — Chief Gary Sullivan reports that the Easton Police Department is seeking to identify a man who approached a young boy Monday night and asked him if he wanted a ride in his car.
At approximately 5 p.m. yesterday, police responded to a home on Roundtable Road after a caller told officers that someone had approached his son in his driveway.
Officers spoke with the 8-year-old boy, who told them that he was playing street hockey in his driveway when a man in a red car drove up to the end of the driveway and reached over and opened the passenger’s side door. The man then asked the boy if he wanted a ride.
The boy said no and ran up his driveway to his house and told his father. The boy was unharmed.
The man was described as an older black male, possibly in his 60s, wearing a black t-shirt with a while skull on it and black shorts with small holes in them. He had brown hair, and one “droopy” eye, according to the boy. The man was driving a small red car.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle in question.
Anyone who has information about this incident or who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area is asked to call Easton Police at 508-230-3322.
