Bedford Police Provide Route 101 Construction Project Update
BEDFORD, N.H. — As the Route 101 construction project continues, Chief John J. Bryfonski and the Bedford Police Department would like to provide community members with several important updates regarding paving and road closures.
From Wednesday, July 11 to Friday, July 13, Continental Paving is scheduled to pave the area of Route 101 between Liberty Hill Road and Wallace Road. Paving will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and drivers should expect delays. Two-way traffic will be open during paving, however, the road will be narrow in certain areas and motorists are asked to travel slowly.
Additionally, on Wednesday, July 11 and Thursday, July 12, Meetinghouse Road, from the Town Library to Route 101, will be closed to through traffic. Detours will be in place to allow traffic to proceed down Bedford Center Road and officers will be at the intersection of Route 101 and Bedford Center Road to assist with left hand turns. There will be delays, so drivers should allow for plenty of time to reach their destinations.
On Thursday, July 12, the left hand turn lane on Route 101 onto Nashua Road will be closed. Officers will be at the intersection to assist motorists who need to turn onto Nashua Road.
“We appreciate residents’ patience during this phase of construction,” Chief Bryfonski said. “Please allow yourself ample time to get to wherever you need to go if you will be traveling these roads next week.”
