Natick Police and Middlesex District Attorney’s Office Investigating Fatal Two-Car Crash
NATICK — Police Chief James G. Hicks and Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan are investigating a two-car motor vehicle crash where one man died last night.
On Oct., 11, at 9 p.m., Natick Police received a report of a two-car crash at the intersection of Speen Street and Timber Lane.
Upon arrival to the scene, police learned that a 2015 Subaru was traveling on Speen Street when it collided with a 2003 Acura TL. The Subaru then left the roadway and struck a large tree. The 23-year-old Waltham man driving the vehicle was extricated by two bystanders. A Natick Police Officer on scene immediately began administering CPR using an automated external defibrillator until the Natick Fire Department arrived. The man was transported via ambulance to MetroWest Medical Center in Natick, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Acura, an 81-year-old man from Natick, reported he was uninjured in the crash. His passenger was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
The incident remains under investigation by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Natick Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Section. This is an active and open investigation and no further information is available at this time.
All further press inquiries should be directed to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
