*Media Advisory* Methuen Police Department to Deliver Donations from Toy Drive
METHUEN — Chief Joseph Solomon and the Methuen Police Department, along with Chief J. Timothy Sheehy and the Methuen Fire Department, are pleased to announce that all of the toys donated through the Methuen Police and Fire Departments toy drive will be dropped off at Debbie’s Treasure Chest next weekend.
“The success of this toy drive has been outstanding,” Chief Solomon said. “Along with donations from the fire department, we have doubled our donations from last year. It is tremendously rewarding to see the two departments get together for such a wonderful cause, especially during the holiday season.”
WHAT
The Methuen Police and Fire Departments have collected more than 300 toys through the 2nd Annual Toy Drive benefiting Debbie’s Treasure Chest, a non-profit organization founded by children in Lawrence.

About Debbie’s Treasure Chest:
Debbie’s Treasure Chest is a non-profit organization based in Lawrence, Mass. The group was founded by three children and works with social service agencies across the Merrimack Valley to deliver school supplies, clothing and toys to children in need.
The organization helps children at risk through cash and in-kind donations, and assistance from volunteers. One-hundred percent of donations are used to improve the lives of as many children as possible by providing them with basic necessities. Debbie’s Treasure Chest is operated by Harvey Girls, Inc, a public charity whose contributions are fully tax exempt under the IRS rules.
