ARLINGTON — Police Chief Frederick Ryan reports that the Arlington Police Department responded to a two car motor vehicle crash this morning, with one of the vehicles striking a building afterward.
On Tuesday, at approximately 10:30 a.m., police and fire units responded to 98 Broadway. Upon arriving, Police determined that a 2015 Audi and a 2010 Toyota crashed head-on and that the Toyota then veered into the doorway of a locksmith shop at that location.
No one inside the building was hurt. One of the drivers was transported to an area hospital by Armstrong Ambulance with pains as the result of airbag deployment.
“We are very fortunate that no pedestrians or people inside the building were harmed,” Chief Ryan said. “This was a serious crash, but thankfully no one was seriously injured.”
The crash is under investigation by the Arlington Police Department. A building inspector was on scene to examine damages to the building.
