Sudbury Fire Chief Grabs his Phone and Snaps one of the Best Photos We Have Ever Used in a Press Release

Dog

Sudbury Fire Chief William Miles listened to what I’ve been saying to my police and fire chiefs for over a year now: Take pictures when you can safely do so, when it does not interfere with your work.

So he pulled out his phone and snapped off two quick pictures without giving them a second thought. The photo above is one of the results.

The photo is amazing, and it shows a dog that had fallen through thin ice just seconds before it was rescued by Sudbury firefighters, who were wearing ice rescue suits and deployed a sled to save the dog.

Here is the full press release to go with it.
