GEORGETOWN — John Guilfoil Public Relations LLC proudly announces that it has received two honors in the 2022 American Inhouse Design Awards for its design and development of websites.

The JGPR team was recognized for the development of a customized Town of Groveland website, one of five websites that have been re-designed and launched for the town including: Municipal, Police, Fire, Water and Sewer, and Library.

The Grovleand municipal website development was managed by Website Project Manager Kristen Potter, and developed by WordPress Specialist Katelyn Goddard, and Public Relations Assistant Kayla Rochon.

The Town of Groveland requested a modern, unique design that captures the essence of the Town. The team incorporated design and content elements to meet the Town’s needs and created a friendly and easy-to-use platform for residents, and created something above and beyond expectations.

A main focus of the project was creating a consistent look and user experience across all five sites. Additionally, JGPR created a new town logo that incorporates elements of the elm trees and gazebo in Elm Park.

“Cities and towns across America need bolder website designs that make the user interface easy and seamless while providing a visual experience on par with a businesses and ecommerce sites,” said JGPR Principal Owner John Guilfoil. “Additionally, the focus in this era needs to be on giving municipal agencies a place to easily display and promote their news and events. I am proud of the hard work that went into the Groveland project, and we look forward to providing the same level of service to other communities.”

The Town website homepage offers residents an interactive experience to best meet their wants and needs, including the ability to easily access town government offices, community resources, a community calendar, trash and recycling information, and COVID-19 information.

The site also integrates with Groveland’s social media accounts, so that news and updates are shared with a wider audience.

JGPR also was honored for development of an app for the Melrose Police Department. The app allows residents to receive push notifications, submit online forms and contact the department. Goddard led the project development, making it the first app of its kind for JGPR.

GDUSA’s American Inhouse Design Awards recognizes outstanding work by inhouse designers and their departments, delivering value to their clients, agencies, and causes. Winners are among the top 10 percent of entries. Judges considered more than 7,000 entries this year.

John Guilfoil Public Relations LLC also provides public relations and communications services to the Melrose Police Department, and to the Town of Groveland and its agencies. Founder and Principal Guilfoil and Project Manager Potter both live in Groveland.
