DUNSTABLE — The Dunstable Fire Department is pleased to announce William Farrell has been appointed as the new Chief.
Chief William Farrell was sworn in Aug. 15 by the Dunstable Town Clerk.
Chief Farrell began his career as a firefighter in 2006, when he spent five years at the Lewiston Fire Department in Maine, and obtained his EMT certification.
Chief Farrell spent the past 11 years of his career with Nashua Fire Rescue where he was promoted to Lieutenant in 2017.
In his new role as Chief, Farrell hopes to find success in attracting new members to the department. He also aims to focus on firefighter health and safety, including mental health awareness.
Farrell is looking forward to connecting with the residents of Dunstable through community fire prevention and education.
“I am honored to be able to accept this position and look forward to working alongside a determined and passionate group of firefighters,” said Chief Farrell. “While becoming Chief is a new role for me, I am excited to learn and grow as both a firefighter and a leader within Dunstable.”
