DIGHTON — Director of Veterans’ Services Ray Hague, Board of Selectmen Chairman Ken Pacheco and Town Administrator Michael Mullen wish to invite community members to attend the Town of Dighton’s Veterans Day Commemoration next week.

WHAT:
Residents are invited to attend the Town of Dighton’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony next week, and join various town officials, veterans and veterans groups, local youth and the general public in honoring local veterans for their service. There are approximately 420 veterans living in the Town of Dighton.
The program will include the placing of the wreath of thanks and a salute, as well as a moment of silence. Director of Veterans’ Services Hague will be presiding over the ceremony.
The ceremony will also feature speeches from local veterans. A representative of the Dighton Board of Selectmen will also speak at the ceremony as will former Selectman Nancy Goulart.
This year’s ceremony will focus on the theme, “What is a Veteran.”
