WHAT:
Members of the entire Kearsarge Regional School District community and beyond are invited to attend a talk about mental health with former New Hampshire Supreme Court Chief Justice John Broderick.
Chief Justice Broderick, who now works as the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Senior Director of External Affairs, will share what he’s learned about mental health from his own family’s journey and how to see mental health challenges for what they are.
Jeff Levin, Life Coach and Reconnection Project Founder, will also give his insight about the ways changes in our culture have affected families, kids and schools, and how that has contributed to the rise in young people’s stress and anxiety.
The two have been meeting with school districts across the state as part of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock R.E.A.C.T. Mental Health Awareness Campaign. Their goal is to provide residents with tips and resources to support and seek help for their mental health.
The event will be held virtually on Tuesday, May 4 starting at 6:30 p.m. and can be viewed here.
“This past year has been incredibly challenging for all of us and we look forward to having this important conversation about protecting your mental health and supporting others,” Superintendent Feneberg said.
This event is being held in conjunction with the Kearsarge Parent Partnership Program, which is headed by Director of Student Services Larry Elliott. More information about the group can be found here.
