ROCKLAND — Superintendent of Schools Alan Cron reports that Rockland High School staff confiscated a knife from a student after he showed it to a classmate today.
During the last class period of the school day on Friday, administrators learned that a male student displayed a two-inch folding knife in class. A student reported the incident to administrators, who then located the student in possession of the knife and safely secured it.
There was no physical confrontation between the students, and nobody was injured.
Rockland Police have been notified, and the student involved will be disciplined in accordance with district policies and procedures.
