BRIDGEWATER — The Town of Bridgewater’s Town Manager Preliminary Screening Ad Hoc Committee, in collaboration with consultant Community Paradigm Associates, shares that an online survey is available for Bridgewater stakeholders, including residents, business owners, and Bridgewater State University affiliates to share their thoughts regarding the preferred attributes of the next Town Manager.
“We are interested in hearing recommendations regarding the skills and experience
Bridgewater’s stakeholders would like to see for their next Town Manager,” said
Bridgewater Town Manager Preliminary Screening Ad Hoc Committee Chair and Town Council Vice President Paul Murphy. “It is important that residents and other community stakeholders remain an integral part of the Town Manager selection process.”
The online survey is available here and will remain open through Dec. 12, 2024. A link to the survey is also available on the Town’s website, bridgewaterma.org, and social media sites.
The Town Manager position became available following the resignation of former Bridgewater Town Manager Michael Dutton, who had a successful 12-year tenure in the community. Dutton left after accepting a position as county administrator for Barnstable County. The Town hired the municipal consulting firm Community Paradigm Associates to assist in the search process, and the Town of Bridgewater anticipates having a new Town Manager selected within approximately four months.
