UXBRIDGE — Superintendent Michael Baldassarre and Principal Michael Rubin are pleased to share that Uxbridge High School recently hosted its annual Career and Innovation Pathway Night.
Career and Innovation Pathway Night was held on Wednesday, Dec. 20 as part of an ongoing series that connects younger students and families to the opportunities, programs and curricula available at Uxbridge High School.
As part of the event, Uxbridge High School career pathway staff welcomed parents and students in grades three through six and introduced them to a variety of career pathway programs and equipment.
Throughout the night, approximately 40 students and parents worked on designing holiday ornaments using laser engravers and 3D printers, designing and printing holiday cards, and pressing original t-shirts to take home with them for the holidays. Attendees also enjoyed cookies and cocoa prepared by UHS Consumer Science and Hospitality programs.
“This year’s Career and Innovation Pathway Night was a great success,” said Principal Rubin. “These nights are an opportunity for us to highlight our programs, share the expertise of our staff, and get our students excited about all that our school has to offer.”
Superintendent Baldassarre would like to thank engineering teacher Mike Smutok, manufacturing/engineering teacher Dan Sabourin, engineering/biomed teacher Brian McCauley, biomed teacher Joe Barros, Dean of Students/Internship Coordinator Dave Moura, job coach Greg Coppolino, staff member Becky Wise and intermediate school technology education teacher Samantha Wise for their contributions to the event.
