MAYNARD — Chief Angela Lawless is pleased to announce that Maynard Fire will be launching Station Feature Fridays in celebration of being in the new fire station for one year.
The Maynard Fire Station, 30 Sudbury St., completed renovations last year and members officially moved into the station on Nov. 28, 2022.
Station Feature Fridays will highlight the many aspects of the new station including training rooms, gyms, training platforms, safe havens, and more.
To visit the Maynard Fire Station, residents can enter the station by taking a left at the parking sign toward the side of the building. Residents will then travel up the ramp, park and walk through the front door. There is posted signage for residents to follow. The building is also equipped with doorbells and cameras to ensure the safety of station visitors and staff members.
Residents who would like a tour of the new station can do so by calling the station at 978-897-1014 to set up an appointment.
While there are times during the day where the building is not staffed, as crews are responding to emergencies, training, community interactions, and more, the building is always secure. Residents and visitors can always stop by or call if they have questions or need assistance.
Maynard Fire’s headquarters is a 19,500-square-foot building that is more than twice the size of its existing station. It features a modern training area, an emergency operations center, and significantly more room for apparatus and equipment storage.
“We want residents and community members to feel welcome in our new station, and I am excited to launch this series of station features, as it is important to showcase to the community the variety of components that went into making this station our home,” said Chief Lawless. “I encourage residents and community members who would like a tour of the station to come visit and say hello.”
