HAMPTON — Superintendent Meredith Nadeau is pleased to share that Winnacunnet High School recently welcomed the Class of 2027 through its Fresh Start program.
The Fresh Start program, held on Aug. 8-10, is an orientation program for incoming first years at Winnacunnet High School. About 85 to 90 percent of the Class of 2027 attended.
With the help of 85 upperclassmen volunteers, the first years participated in various fun activities, including scavenger hunts, team-building games, a student panel, and an art project.
Each participating student received a Winnacunnet t-shirt and their individual schedules for the coming school year. Students toured their first-trimester classes.
The orientation program ended with a raffle, ice cream social, and a video that highlighted the program’s activities.
“Starting high school can be a scary process, but through our Fresh Start program, we try to ease the stress and anxiety surrounding this next chapter of our students’ academic journeys,” said Superintendent Nadeau. “We are thrilled at the success of this orientation for the Class of 2027, and we cannot wait to begin the school year!”
