WOBURN – Woburn Superintendent Matthew Crowley and Principal Carl Nelson announce that the Kennedy Closet donation program is officially open this year and encourage those who can to donate to help families in need.
For the past 15 years, the Kennedy Closet has supported families in need at Kennedy Middle School by delivering them much-needed items on the weekends and during school vacations. The program runs throughout the entire school year.
“The closet is a valuable resource for families and students in the school. It runs completely on donations and our goal is to always keep it stocked because the more donations we receive the more families we are able to help,” Principal Nelson said. “The community has been tremendously supportive of this initiative over the years and we are so grateful for their continued generosity.”
The Kennedy Closet accepts nonperishable goods, hygiene products, clothing, shoes and more. Those interested in supporting the Kennedy Closet program are asked to drop off donations at the school.
