NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH — Superintendent John Antonucci is pleased to announce the appointment of Talley Clyde as North Attleborough Public Schools’ new District Curriculum Coordinator and Stephen Kapulka as the new Assistant Principal of the Community School.
Coordinator Clyde and Assistant Principal Kapulka will begin their new roles on July 1, 2020.
District Curriculum Coordinator Talley Clyde
Clyde has been a member of the North Attleborough Public Schools community for almost 16 years. Most recently, she worked as an eighth-grade English teacher at the North Attleborough Middle School. As an English teacher, she has a background in designing and implementing curricula that is meaningful and interactive and blends learning activities with units of study.
Clyde also previously served as the co-chairperson of the Professional Learning Steering Committee, the group responsible for innovating the format of professional development days for the district. In this position, she honed her skills in advanced planning, collaboration and furthering collective visions.
“Talley is a long-standing member of our school community with a strong understanding of curriculum development,” Assistant Superintendent Michelle McKeon said. “I’m confident that with her experience she will thrive in this role as she assists with crafting our district’s curriculum to further ensure consistency and continuity across all disciplines and schools.”
She is currently pursuing a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in educational leadership from Bridgewater State College.
Community School Assistant Principal Stephen Kapulka
Kapulka has been an assistant principal since 2012, having most recently served as the assistant principal of the Quashnet School in Mashpee. Prior to this role, he also served as an assistant principal at the Barnstable Intermediate School and the Hanover Middle School.
While serving as the assistant principal in previous school districts, Kapulka fostered learning environments that prioritized the social and emotional needs of students which resulted in an inclusive learning environment that was beneficial to all students. He also is well-versed in curriculum implementation.
Before serving in a leadership position, Kapulka also worked as an elementary-level educator in the Falmouth Public Schools for 14 years.
“I ask that all of our staff, students and families join me in warmly welcoming Stephen to the Community School,” Community School Principal Jeff Sposato said. “Stephen is extremely well-versed in the responsibilities and expectations required of an assistant principal and I believe that with the skills he possesses he will be a great fit for our school community.”
