EAST BRIDGEWATER — The Town of East Bridgewater is pleased to announce the hiring of several new Town employees.
Melanie Dean is the new Town Accountant as of Sept. 9. Her most recent work was as an Audit Manager for O’Connor and Drew PC in Braintree. She is also a former member of the East Bridgewater Finance Committee.
Dean holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting and finance with a concentration in accounting from Bridgewater State University. She also holds a Master of Science in accountancy, also from BSU.
Jeanmarie Kent Joyce has been hired as the new Health Agent. She will start in her new role on Nov. 1.
Joyce, of South Easton, previously served for four years as the Health Agent for the Town of Avon, and prior to that served as the Health Agent for the Town of Hanover. In total she has over 22 years of experience working in public health.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry from Bridgewater State University. She also earned a Master’s in Public Health with a dual major in environmental health and health law from Boston University’s School of Medicine.
Alexander Welch has been hired as the new Conservation Agent, and will also start Nov. 1.
He was most recently employed as a conservation planner and program assistant for the Massachusetts Association of Conservation Districts. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
