PETERBOROUGH — Superintendent Kimberly Rizzo Saunders would like to provide an update on the ConVal Regional School District’s 2021-22 fiscal year budget.
Following a recount on Thursday, March 18, the originally proposed $52.5 million district budget was shown to have been approved by voters of the district’s nine communities during the March 9 vote.
During tonight’s school board meeting, a motion was passed to not commit 2021-22 budgetary dollars to the K-8 Competency Based Multi-Age remote program. An estimated $780,000 from the budget was proposed to be allocated to the program.
Because the operating budget was approved, the $780,000 will remain in the district’s budget but will no longer be used to implement the K-8 remote program.
