BLACKSTONE — Chief Gregory Gilmore reports that the Blackstone Police Department arrested a man on multiple drug charges following a report of possible drug activity.
ZACHARY PITLER, AGE 18, OF BLACKSTONE, was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Class B Substance (Ecstasy)
- Possession of a Class C Substance (THC)
- Possession of a Class E Substance (Alprazolam)
- Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Substance (Ecstasy)
- Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class C Substance (THC)
- Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class E Substance (Alprazolam)
On Monday, July 13, officers responded to a residence on Michelle Lane after receiving a call about alleged drug activity at the residence. As part of the subsequent investigation, officers conducted a search of the premises.
During the search, officers located and seized approximately 15 grams of powder ecstasy, 160 ecstasy pills, approximately 1,000 Xanax pills, approximately 100 THC edibles, 85 THC vape cartridges and approximately 20 grams of THC wax and crystal products. The substances have an estimated street value of over $10,000.
PITLER was taken into custody without incident. He was arraigned Tuesday, July 14 at Uxbridge District Court and bail was set at $5,000.
This investigation remains ongoing, and PITLER may face additional charges.
“I’d like to thank the citizens who contacted police when they noticed suspicious activity. We always encourage our residents to call the department’s main line or anonymous tip line to help us in our efforts to protect the community,” Chief Gilmore said. “Our officers on scene did an excellent job taking the information they had, developing it into a solid case and arresting the suspect without incident. Our department continues to work very hard to uphold the laws of the Commonwealth during these trying times, and to get this amount of harmful substances off the street is a tremendous result.”
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
