MAYNARD — Town Administrator Greg Johnson would like to thank the Fazheng Group for their generous donation of personal protective equipment to the Town of Maynard.
On Friday, April 10, the Fazheng Group, owners of the Beijing Royal School, donated much-needed surgical masks and gloves to the Maynard Town Hall and the Maynard Police and Fire Departments to help prevent exposure to COVID-19.
“Our community, first responders and Town Hall are grateful for the generous donation Dr. Wang and the Fazheng Group have made to the Town,” said Town Administrator Johnson. “This level of commitment to the community from our residents and businesses is what makes Maynard the special place that it is.”
Police Chief Michael Noble and Fire Chief Anthony Stowers express their gratitude for this delivery as well.
The Fazheng Group will also be donating additional masks, gloves and goggles once they are delivered from China to help Maynard cope with the coronavirus pandemic.
The donations will be issued to police, fire and town personnel as needed as the COVID-19 situation continues to develop.
“We very much appreciate the Maynard Town government’s efforts to help our interactions with Town Hall as we begin our work here,” said Dr. Guangfa Wang, Chairman of the Fazheng Group. “We are willing to do our best to assist.”
