Investigator Thomas Grella Joins Rockingham County Attorney’s Office
BRENTWOOD — Rockingham County Attorney Patricia G. Conway is pleased to announce that Thomas A. Grella has been hired as an investigator who will aid in the prosecution and investigative efforts of the County Attorney’s Office.
Investigator Grella has nearly three decades of experience as a law enforcement professional. He will step into his new role with the Rockingham County Attorney’s Office on Aug. 7.
Since 2011, he’s served as the Commander of the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. He was responsible for managing all aspects of the task force from day-to-day oversight to case management to supervision of personnel and other duties.
“I am very happy to have Tom joining our investigative staff,” County Attorney Conway said. “His work with the ICAC, particularly with child pornography cases, is very well respected nationwide. We are confident that he will quickly become an asset to the Rockingham County Attorney’s Office.”
Prior to working on the ICAC task force, Investigator Grella worked for the Portsmouth Police Department from 1990-2011 as a patrolman, detective and sergeant.
He began his career as a part-time patrol officer with the Mont Vernon Police Department in 1987 and worked as a full-time officer for the Milford Police Department the following year.
Throughout his career, Investigator Grella has completed numerous training courses and earned instructor level certifications in a variety of subjects pertaining to crimes against children, including juvenile justice, child fatality investigations, suspect interviews of child abuse, crime scene investigations, child sexual exploitation investigations and others.
