Woman Struck by Tree During March Storm to Visit With Easton Firefighters Who Rescued Her

EASTON — Chief Kevin Partridge is pleased to announce that a woman who was injured by a falling tree early last month will visit the Fire Department tomorrow. 

The woman, Easton Housing Authority Executive Director Kathy Steiger, suffered a serious leg injury when a tree fell on her during a storm on March 2. Easton Firefighters responded and freed her so that she could subsequently be transported to an area hospital to begin her recovery.

Steiger will visit Station 1, 48 Lothrop St., at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17 to thank the firefighters who responded that day and thank them for their assistance.

“While these firefighters were simply doing their jobs by responding to a person in need, I am glad they’ll have a chance to hear how much their efforts meant to her,” Chief Partridge said.
