East Kingston Elementary School Students to Perform in “Mary Poppins Jr.” Musical

EAST KINGSTON — In preparation for next week’s musical performance of “Mary Poppins Jr.,” students at East Kingston Elementary School are hard at work finalizing lines, choreography and costumes.

WHEN:

Thursday, March 15 at 7 p.m.

Friday, March 16 at 7 p.m.

Saturday, March 17 at 11 a.m.

Doors open one hour before each show.

WHERE:

East Kingston Elementary School, 5 Andrews Lane

WHAT:

Each year talented fourth and fifth grade students from East Kingston Elementary School perform a musical for parents and community members. Casting and rehearsals began in November. This year there are 50 dedicated students participating in the cast and crew.

The production of “Mary Poppins Jr.” features detailed costumes and scenery, all of which are funded through donations from school families and local businesses. Stage lighting has been generously provided by the East Kingston Elementary School Board and PTO.

This year’s production wouldn’t be possible without the support of EKES staff members and families.

Admission to the shows are free, although donations are encouraged.
