John Guilfoil Named National Public Affairs Professional of the Year
WASHINGTON, D.C. — John Guilfoil Public Relations is pleased to announce that its principal owner, John Guilfoil, was named Public Affairs Professional of the Year by PR News during a noontime event Wednesday at the National Press Club.
PR News honored the top professionals in Public Relations at its 2015 PR People Awards luncheon at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on Dec. 9. The event recognized individuals who make communications matter in the marketplace everyday.
As Public Affairs Professional of the Year, John was recognized for his leadership in bringing a “corporate approach” to public affairs and police, fire, and government communications. He has also successfully spearheaded communications for advocacy initiatives including the Gloucester ANGEL Initiative and the Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative (P.A.A.R.I.).
“It is a tremendous honor to be recognized by PR News in front of my peers,” Guilfoil said. “I was proud to accept this award in front of three groups of people who have had a major influence in my life and career: Some of my clients, my staff, and my parents. This company would not be successful without the faith and trust shown in us by police and fire chiefs, town and city managers, and business leaders who understand the importance of gaining public trust through effective dissemination of timely and truthful information. I share this award with each of them.”
PR News also recognized up-and-coming public relations professionals with its Rising PR Stars 30 & Under, honored the Top Places to Work in PR, and inducted a round of PR professionals into its Hall of Fame.
