NORTH ANDOVER — John Guilfoil Public Relations is pleased to announce that the company recently launched its first whole-municipality website for its client, the Town of Nahant.
The website, nahant.org, was designed by JGPR Web Developer & Project Manager Kristen Potter and Website Specialist Katelyn Goddard, and was officially launched for the Town on Saturday, Aug. 21.
Website design and hosting is one of many services offered by JGPR. The company has designed, launched and maintains hosting services for over 200 client websites for police departments, fire departments, school districts, municipal government agencies, non-profit organizations and businesses.
Nahant’s website provides residents an updated and modern space to access information, news, events and other important information.
The website features a user-friendly, easy-to-navigate design with a clean layout and bright photos and includes:
- A news blog
- A documents and forms section
- A resource page that features important information for residents
- A calendar of events
- Department pages with contact information
- Employment opportunities
- COVID-19 information
The homepage includes a helpful links section and a search feature that allows users to quickly navigate to desired pages.
The site is also directly connected to the Town’s social media pages in order to quickly allow the town to broadcast the latest updates to the public.
Paired with our public relations services, clients have access to JGPR’s 24/7/365 availability for breaking news and a team of communications professionals who can write content and post it directly to client websites and social media channels.
“The difference between a communications agency like JGPR and a standalone web developer is that we become part of our clients’ communications procedures. We update pages, post news content and add the latest events and meetings for our clients when needed,” said JGPR owner John Guilfoil. “I wish to commend our web team for their extremely hard work on Nahant’s website, including development, data entry, and hosting regular progress meetings with the town.”
JGPR’s designs are created using WordPress software, making them easy to use and intuitive even for those who don’t consider themselves tech savvy. At the core of every site are bright photos or compelling video that draw viewers in, encouraging them to explore more about your department, school, organization, community or business.
“One of the most common problems with municipal websites is that they become stale or the agency lacks a technology professional who knows how to update their website. With JGPR WordPress websites, we use software that a client can learn in minutes, and we remain with our clients to keep their websites fresh,” Potter said. “Having a JGPR site doesn’t mean we give you the keys to the site and you’re on your own after launch. We will train you how to post news and information on the site and we offer full and timely support for any content changes that need to be made, without billing clients for exorbitant hourly service charges.”
JGPR can scale our websites to fit the needs of our smallest clients as well as major cities and large towns. Basic websites start at just $500, and JGPR provides the photography, videography, graphic/logo design and IT/hosting services, providing true turn-key solutions for business owners, municipal managers and department heads to have peace of mind when it comes to their web presence.
