Utah Chiefs of Police Association
GOAL
A statewide recruitment and retention initiative aimed to raise awareness of both sworn and civilian opportunities throughout Utah Law Enforcement.
Background
The Utah Chiefs of Police Association (UCOPA) identified the need to bring awareness to the recruitment and retention challenges that face those in Law Enforcement within the state of Utah. Through a grant that was funded by the Utah Commission on Criminal & Juvenile Justice (CCJJ), the state of Utah was able to dedicate the resources to support a 2-year initiative towards recruitment and retention.
Concept
JGPR developed a campaign strategy that would both educate potential job seekers of the wide range of job opportunities in law enforcement and give them direct online access to those openings.

The concept of a Law Enforcement Career Day was presented to the client and adopted as an initiative that would help bring awareness to high school, college students and job seekers who are looking to pursue a career in criminal justice. Career Day highlights the unique programs and services within both sworn and civilian opportunities in Law Enforcement
