Introducing JGPR Reels

Short Form Videos

John Guilfoil Public Relations is thrilled to announce that our PR service contracts now include Social Media Reels as a way to directly engage with your audience and community stakeholders. This means our PR clients will get more high-quality, visually appealing, and informative content from us at no additional cost.

Since April 2025, JGPR has created dozens of social media short videos (i.e. Reels, Shorts, etc.), and the numbers speak for themselves, both on a large and small scale.

The bottom line is that your audience is largely consuming social media content via Reels, and JGPR can help you to directly connect with your stakeholders on your social platforms.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Reel video?

A Reel is a 15- to 90-second vertical video that tells a story or highlights an event or initiative in a quick and attention-grabbing way. These videos are immensely popular across most social media platforms, including on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, and LinkedIn.

What kind of content can a Reel highlight?

Reels can capture:

  • Event highlights
  • Staff profiles
  • Feature stories
  • Public service announcements
  • Progress updates
  • Marketing and promotions
  • Campaigns and advocacy

Why should I use Reels?

A press release is something that is sent out to media outlets, while Reels are content that can be shared with both the media and directly with your community! According to our own analytics, Reels are currently far more effective in reaching audiences than traditional social media posts, links, photos, and galleries.

Two Ways We Can Create Reels for You

Our Team Comes to You

A member of our PR Team will meet with you, on location, to gather the footage and imagery needed to produce a Reel. We will help with everything from planning your message to outlining the structure of your Reel, writing captions, brainstorming visuals, identifying a soundbite, and determining a call to action.

We will then take what we get and send you the finished product, along with everything you need to post the Reel on your social platforms. (If we have access to your social channels, we can even post them for you!)

You Record Content, Send It to Us, and We Will Take It From There

You can send us an interview or action clip, anywhere from 15 to 30 seconds, and we will work our magic.

We will need:

  • The first and last name of an interview subject and their title.
  • Short video clips and/or pictures. Action shots. (Video clips are generally preferred.) Please remember to hold the phone vertically!
  • Any important information we should know about the video topic.
  • Your logo, seal, or patch (if we don’t have it already).
