John Guilfoil Public Relations Launches New Official Website for the Town of Marblehead

JGPR launched Marblehead, Mass. town website after town decides to move on from two national web vendors

John Guilfoil Public Relations LLC (JGPR) is proud to announce the successful launch of a newly redesigned website for the Town of Marblehead: marbleheadma.gov.

The new website, developed with a hands-on, local approach, represents a modern, user-centric, and mobile-friendly solution that meets the strategic communication needs of the municipal government and public safety agencies of Marblehead while boosting transparency, accessibility of use, and a friendly user experience for residents, businesses, and visitors.

The new Marblehead website was built by JGPR’s in-house web design team following the town’s decision to pivot away from two previous national vendors. With a deep understanding of municipal government needs and a proven track record of developing user friendly, high-performance municipal websites, JGPR worked very closely with town officials to deliver a platform that is clean, fast, and centered on the latest news and events in town.

“This project was all about public trust and delivering on our company’s promises,” said John Guilfoil, founder of JGPR. “We are honored that JGPR was called upon to support the Town of Marblehead and build a town website that both meets the moment and meets the expectations of a historic and civic-minded community.”

The new website features:

  • A modern, mobile-friendly design for viewing on all screens and devices.
  • Priority navigation for easy access to departments, services, and meeting information with the fewest amount of “clicks.”
  • Homepage alerts and news.
  • Enhanced, robust search functionality, ensuring further ease of access to documents, forms, minutes, and news.
  • Clear paths for residents to pay bills, submit requests, and become engaged.
  • A robust documents library for Marblehead’s public meetings and other municipal documents.

The JGPR digital team, led by Kristen Potter, Katelyn Goddard, Danielle Fortin, Kayla Rochon and new team member Jason Messina completed the website on budget and ahead of deadline, with an accelerated timeline, collaborating with town leaders to ensure a successful launch and remaining with the town, hands-on to ensure all updates, documents, news, events, minutes, and agendas were current before the site was fully released and announced to the public.

“The final product of the Marblehead town website is more than just a website, it’s a digital town hall designed for efficient, trustworthy service,” said Potter, the company’s Vice President of Digital and Enterprise Accounts.

JGPR currently provides website design, development, hosting, and support services for hundreds of towns, cities, public safety agencies, school districts, public works, libraries, and nonprofits across the nation. While best practices of user experience are followed, every site is custom-built, backed by real-time support from a team that understands the 24/7 demands of municipal operations.

“JGPR doesn’t limit our clients to templates and cookie-cutter solutions. We offer a custom product often at a lower upfront cost compared to national template-driven vendors,” Guilfoil said.

The Marblehead website is part of a growing list of communities and agencies that have chosen to leave legacy providers in favor of JGPR’s locally-minded, responsive, mission-driven solutions. JGPR also recently launched a new website for the Town of Ludlow and is finalizing a 7-website project for another Massachusetts community.
