ACTON — Chief James Cogan is pleased to report that the Acton Police Department and the Acton DEI Office toured the community in an ice cream truck from Juniper Farms and shared hundreds of ice creams as part of Cone with a Cop, an event meant to send off students heading back to school while also strengthening ties between Acton Police and community members.

Cogan is pleased to announce that a team of assessors from the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission (MPAC) is scheduled to arrive in Acton on Feb. 13 to begin examining various aspects of the Acton Police Department’s policies and procedures, operations, and facilities.
