*UPDATE* Missing Juvenile Mother Located in Springfield

NEWBURYPORT — City Marshal Mark Murray reports 15-year-old Shantel Van Voorhis has been located in Springfield and is now in the custody of the Department of Children and Families.

Earlier today, her 4-month-old son, Jacob, was located in Worcester and is also now in DCF custody.

Marshal Murray wishes to express his gratitude to all the agencies who assisted in the successful location of both the baby and his juvenile mother after they left a residential program in Newburyport early Monday.
