TEWKSBURY — Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department arrested two individuals on drug-related charges.
JOHANA RODRIGUEZ DE LA ROSA, AGE 27, of LAWRENCE, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Distribution of a Class A Substance
MICHAEL GRAY, AGE 33, of NORWOOD, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession of a Class A Substance
On Wednesday, Jan. 29 at approximately 8:30 a.m. Tewksbury Police Narcotics Unit was conducting a narcotics investigation in the area of Ames Hill Drive.
During the investigation, officers observed what appeared to be a drug transaction involving two individuals, identified as RODRIGUEZ DE LA ROSA and GRAY.
RODRIGUEZ DE LA ROSA and GRAY were arrested without incident.
Tewksbury Police K-9 Unit recovered approximately 10 pills believed to be counterfeit oxycodone pills.
“We encourage our residents to call us if they suspect criminal activity as we will act swiftly to address the issue,” said Chief Columbus. “I’m grateful that our drug unit was able to stop this activity from occurring in one of our neighborhoods.”
