GROVELAND — Groveland Fire Chief Robert Valentine and Police Chief Jeffrey T. Gillen report that the Groveland Police and Fire Departments responded to an industrial accident Friday on Federal Way.
On Friday, Sept. 20, at approximately 9 a.m., Groveland Police and Fire were called to 2 Federal Way for a report of an industrial accident.
Upon arriving, first responders discovered that two workers were working on a large metal box with electrical wires running through it when one of the workers got shocked, knocking him off a six-foot ladder. As that worker fell, he knocked another worker off of the ladder.
Groveland firefighters found both workers conscious and alert, and transported them to local hospitals with injuries that appeared to be non life-threatening.
The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), as well as the Groveland Building Inspector and Groveland Electrical Inspector are investigating.
